Long messages
A standard text message consists of a single segment of 160 characters. However our service can combine up to 5 segments into the same message. You can configure the maximum number of segments for each message with our online account management system:
- 1 = 160 characters
- 2 = 306 characters
- 3 = 459 characters
- 4 = 612 characters
- 5 = 765 characters
Please note that each segment is charged for separately.
Delivery Receipts
When your message is delivered, we'll send you a receipt to inform you of the time your message was received by the person you sent it to. If the message couldn't be delivered for some reason - for example, no mobile coverage or a wrong number - then we'll also let you know.
Replies
The messages we send out are sent from full 11 digit mobile numbers, which means that the recipient can reply from anywhere in the world. What's more, we have several numbers that we send the messages from. This means that if more than one person in your organisation sends a text to the same mobile phone, then the recipient can reply to either one, and the replies will be correctly routed to the person who sent each original message.
The outbound numbers we use are drawn from a pool of approximately 10 numbers in total. The mapping between one of the pool numbers and the destination handset is valid for 30 days from the date when the last outbound message was sent, which means that you will receive the reply even if the recipient takes a while to respond.
This superb feature is not offered by most of our competitors.
Online Account management
All of our services can be managed through our online account management system. This system enables you to configure your account in the way that suits you the best. You can also buy credit and view usage reports through these pages.
Sender ID and Branding
If you wish, you can configure your account so that we can add a branding tag line to each message that you send. Additionally, you can also specify whether you'd like to have your email address or mobile number appended to your text messages.
