Inbound text
Introduction
Using our Inbound Service you can publish a mobile telephone number that people without an account with us can use to send messages to you.
You can have either a shared number with specific keyword, or a dedicated number for your own private use.
We can either hold the received messages for you to view privately on this web site, or alternatively we can email them to you, or transfer them by means of our programmatic API (Application Programming Interface). API is a medium of interchange which establishes a set of functions deliberately created to allow other programmers to interact with our software.
Key features:
- Full 11 digit numbers that work worldwide
- Flat fee - no per message charges
- Receive texts either by email, online or via our software API
Inbound text in everyday use
The Inbound text service allows businesses the convenience of using a well-known fixed number in their advertising, which provides a fast and simple route for the public to contact them. We work with charities to provide an easy-to use inbound service, which allows people interested in becoming volunteers to get in touch. A charity is able to respond quickly to requests for information from the public and follow up any leads they receive.
How to begin
Once you have registered an account with us, please contact us at support@totext.net. As this is a specialised service, we need to configure it on your behalf. We'll have you up and running within a couple of days at most.
We offer two options: a dedicated number or a shared number. If you have a dedicated number, the sender can send any message to you. For shared numbers, the sender has to include a specific keyword at the start of the message.
Worldwide Coverage
Our service operates in more than 340 GSM networks in 140 countries. Furthermore, our inbound numbers are full UK format numbers, which means that your inbound messages can originate from any of our networks across the globe.
